I loved that this was a traditional French hotel which has maintained its look and feel. It may be owned by Best Western but it feels like a normal, nice French Hotel with restaurant and a very nice breakfast buffet. I loved that there was recycling available because this is one of my issues when traveling. This Hotel was a very easy walk from the Theater and an extensive Saturday farmer’s market. Two sights to see in town — cloister and 17th century apothecary are also walkable.

A good breakfast selection. Excellent location in Bourg-en-Bresse, though as of April 2025, a bit hard to reach given the disruption of the roads in B-en-B (obviously not the fault of the hotel). The desk staff was helpful, and the rooms were fairly spacious by current standards. And we enjoyed the touches from the old days, such as the floor tiles of the entrance.

The location is very good right in the centre of Bourg-en-Bresse. The rooms were a good size and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant twice, the food is very good and a reasonable price for the quality.

The restaurant is simply brilliant - the service and food are perfection. It is our third visit and the the restaurant is the reason we come back. Our room on this occasion was average, with a bit of a whiff present but clean. Would have been good to have had towels for two laid out and maybe more coffee for the in room coffee machine but other than that acceptable.

Central location was great- very comfortable bed with large room, and large bathroom with shower. Roomy and airy, plenty of space for belongings. Safe car parking outside in the main square- pay until 7pm then free parking until 9am- which was fine for our needs.

Its a perfect stop on route to the Alps. We always eat in the restaurant which is very good and then have an easy drive up into the mountains.

I was just traveling through, so I didn’t spend much time there, but the staff were very friendly. The hotel is right in the city center, in a pretty area next to a square with a fountain. The room was very clean, and all of this came at a really good price.

Centrally located, but quiet hotel. Nice staff at reception. Room well-equipped and clean. Good breakfast. Private garage a plus, although there are lots of public parkings close by. Brasserie Place Bernard, a Georges Blanc restaurant, in the premises - very nice.

Superb location, right in the middle of town and a building with character and charm. Very comfey bed and coffee machine in the room. Walking distance to shops and restaurants.
